Crabwolf. These five guys - recent graduates of the Arts Institute in Bournemouth - are ready to make their mark. Each with their own take on image making, they are all working on self initiated commissions or collaborating together to make modern masterpieces. Hosting a live art event on the roof terrace of The Queen of Hoxton in London on the 14th of August, make sure you pop this date in your diary. Expect live music, screen-printed tees, a poster sale and a vintage clothing stall, plus guest artists and photographer Fergus Mcdonald. This sounds like the perfect way to start your Friday night... see you there xx

*ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to personal problems, Pete Doherty can't make this Saturday. Pete will still perform a live performance at the queen of hoxton in the coming weeks, we are just waiting on the confirmed date.

If you have bought a ticket you can either use it this sat (part refunded) or keep it for the Pete Doherty Special Event TBA. More tickets for that event will go on sale closer to the time. Alternative refund arrangement information will be updated here shortly.

Joe Wilson

Joe Wilson is responsible for the art work in one of the cubicles in the Washroom Galleries (men's) at The Queen of Hoxton. He is an Illustrator and artist and his work is a combination of painstakingly detailed, hand-drawn illustrations and print, usually in pencil and fine-line pen focusing on intense detail and strong drawing. He takes influence from techniques of engraving and etching, and finds inspiration in nature and repeat patterns.

Special NYC guest announced for Easter Sunday...Brennan Green (Chinatown)

After a mind bending set @ Late Night Audio on Sat. Tropicana are very excited to announce that Brennan Green (China Town)
is the special guest for Escape from New York.

Brennan's genre-bending DJ-sets are sure to rock any dance floor taking a crowd through sounds that span disco, house, techno and rock. His New York parties Pop Your Funk (APT, 01-04) and Junky Blues (Flamingo, 99-01) were instrumental in pioneering the current underground disco sound and since then he has toured extensively through Japan, Australia, Europe, North America and Brazil playing at clubs as diverse as London's Fabric and many of the world's best underground parties. He now holds a residency at APT with Neil Aline (CHEZ) with rotating residents such as Tony Humphries, Todd Terry and Mattias Heilbronn and is currently touring in Japan and Australia. Forthcoming are several releases on Chinatown including a collaboration with his Norwegian disco pals Prins Thomas and Lindstrom, plus releases from Runaway and Studio.
